Arrest made in case of Willie Jones
A Rankin County man has been arrested on a murder warrant in relation to the case of a missing Picayune man.
Friday evening, Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department Maj. Marc Ogden said that investigators with his department and detectives with the Picayune Police Department went to Pueblo, Colorado to speak with Dustin Gray, 24, and his wife, Erica Gray, 21.
Information gathered in the investigation led to the identification of another suspect in the case concerning the disappearance of Willie Jones, who has been missing since July 6.
Ogden said the information collected in the investigation led to a murder warrant arrest of 18-year-old Austin Brookshire in relation to the disappearance of Willie Jones on Friday just before 7 p.m.
No other arrests have been made at this time, but Ogden said he expects additional charges to be pressed as the investigation continues.
A peaceful vigil was held for Jones Wednesday evening.
