Parish Tractor opens Parish Rents
For the past two years Parish Tractor in Poplarville has been offering equipment rental services, which has seen an increase in business recently.
Due to that response, Lee Parish decided to invest about $1 million in establishing a dedicated location offering just rental services, said Parish Rents Rental Manager John Odle.
That investment not only included establishing a separate location, but also purchasing additional inventory to triple the amount of available equipment for rent. The new business officially opened in January of this year but a ribbon cutting was held by the Poplarville Area Chamber of Commerce on Feb. 28.
Parish Rents aims to meet the needs of residents living between Picayune and Hattiesburg and even delivers the equipment to a site of the customer’s choosing for a small fee.
Even though the location has operating hours of Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Odle said he will field calls after hours if needed.
Parish Rents offers all sorts of equipment, from large to small.
“We rent everything from excavators to snow cone machines,” said Parish Tractor Operations Manager Joey McClinton.
Odle said current stock includes nail guns, air compressors, safety equipment, fun jumpers and much more. If it’s not in stock, Odle said he can get it.
“I will rent you a hammer, but I got to go buy it first,” Odle said.
Other items for rent include supplies to hold an event such as tables, chairs and canopies. Parish Rents also has tools for working with concrete, floor equipment, construction equipment, tractors and an assortment of attachments, lawn and garden equipment and trailers. The business offers rates for renting equipment daily, over a weekend and for a week or even a month.
