A new company in Pearl River County is offering its unique service to residential and commercial customers in the area.
It’s called Deep South Biosafety, and employs a new kind of technology that doesn’t use chemicals yet can provide a 99.999 percent reduction in bacteria, viruses, fungi and spores in any environment and on any surface.
Co-owners Courtnye and Michael Frederic started the business about three months ago, but it took about a year to plan and secure the equipment. The specialized equipment uses a high temperature steam (+364 F) comprised of only five percent water.
The process is ideal for any application, from offices, veterinary clinics, hospitals, restaurants and restrooms and can clean those facilities from the ceiling to the floor, Michael Frederic said. That means any surface can benefit from the machine’s cleaning ability, from ceiling tiles in an office environment, to tile and carpet in a home, and even walls in rental homes being prepared for new residents.
“They may not even have to paint after we steam the walls,” Courtnye Frederic said.
By killing all of the bacteria, mold and fungus, along with any viruses, the Frederics say that the cleaning process provides a deodorizing effect.
“Anything bleach can kill, we’ll kill better,” Courtnye Frederic said.
Within a year, the couple plans to add some new services to their business. Those include biohazard remediation and crime scene cleanup, which is expected to include decontamination of methamphetamine labs. Michael said he and Courtnye are in the process of becoming certified in those areas.
While their service is not required on a daily basis, they can schedule monthly and quarterly service visits to act as an enhancement to more regular cleaning services.
The couple currently operates out of their home, but can be reached by calling 601-590-0687. The Frederics said they can provide their services at any hour that works for the client, be it during or after business hours.
