A new business in Picayune is offering 34 years worth of experience working for NASA to build the local economy.
Mark Glorioso is the owner of MVG Solutions, LLC, and brings more than three decades of management experience in various facets of NASA work.
His last position was as the Shared Services Consulting Director, where he worked for four years to consolidate all of the needs of human resources, IT and other work that would have been wasteful to have at each location within Stennis Space Center.
He also worked for a year as financial management of the space agency, has three and a half years of experience managing rocket engine testing at Stennis, and for three and a half years he managed the Mission Evaluation Room in Houston for the International Space Station program.
During his time at NASA, he also served as an electrical engineer, as a physicist and as a problem resolution manager.
“I’ve got a pretty well rounded background,” Glorioso said.
In December of last year he officially retired from NASA, allowing him to bring his experience to the private sector. He now offers shared service and engineering consulting, cause and effect analysis, public speaking and leadership training and coaching.
Glorioso is also a musician who offers his talents to faith-based organizations who seek to form their own contemporary music ministry.
“I have a real love for that,” Glorioso said.
His goal is to use his experience to help Stennis Space Center grow and in turn help Picayune and Pearl River County grow economically.
The first step to attracting more people, and therefore industry to the area, is to work with the local school districts.
“I feel education will be the key to attracting people to this area,” Glorioso said.
He can also help businesses secure contracts with NASA, and help them look at problems to find cost effective solutions.
While MVG Solutions has no formal operating hours, he said he does man the office located at 307 N. Main St., Picayune for walk in customers. He is also available by phone at 601-569-1099.
The business does not have any employees, but his wife Natalie, who is also a member of the Pearl River County School Board of Trustees, serves as the business manager.
