In March, Poplarville welcomed CableSouth Media3 to its downtown area.
The Milan, Tennessee based company has 10 offices located in Mississippi, Arkansas and Louisiana, Marketing Executive Andrea Porter said.
CableSouth offers residents high definition cable television, high speed Internet and home phone services, Porter said.
“We are continually adding channels to our lineup,” Porter said. “We offer music, premium channels and DVR services, which gives customers the option to record live television.”
Porter said the Internet is the area’s fastest and customers experience unlimited usage and the company is currently working to make improvements to the Internet system’s reliability and speed.
Home phone service includes unlimited long distance, a local number, 3-way calling, caller ID, call forwarding, call waiting and voicemail.
CableSouth offers six and 12 month bundles for additional savings, Porter said.
Security coverage products are also available, which includes anti-virus password protection, file hopper and tech home, where a remote technician will assist customers with computer or electronic problems, Porter said.
The company also collaborated with the city of Poplarville to provide free Wi-Fi access along downtown Main Street and at City Park, Porter said.
“Our cable is run through a fiber optic network as opposed to analog, which is what ensures high-definition and faster Internet speed,” Porter said. “We service Poplarville city limits, Lumberton, Bogalusa, Kentwood and Franklinton. We have a staff of technicians that are here daily and on-call after hours.”
New customers can expect to have their services installed within three to five days after sign up, Porter said.
Upon entering the Poplarville office, customers will be greeted by Poplarville native Tammy Campbell.
“She is familiar with the residents here and was hired specifically for this office,” Porter said. “She was trained at our Columbia location and is well-equipped to answer questions and help with service issues and new sign-ups.”
Thursday afternoon, CableSouth will be hosting a grand opening and would like to invite the public, Porter said. There will be a ribbon cutting at 3:30 and refreshments will be served.
“We wanted to have a location that was closer to our customers to go for payments and services,” Porter said. “We want to be the local company so having a local office helps us do that. Customers can come and speak face to face with a local person.”
CableSouth is located at 603 S. Main St. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Contact staff by phone at 1-866-257-2044. Visit the website at www.mymedia3.com and through Facebook at CableSouth Media3.
