Pulled pork plates to benefit Bridgeway Apartments residents for sale on Wednesday

The community can help support the special needs residents of Bridgeway Apartments by purchasing pulled pork sandwich lunches this Wednesday.
On July 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. community members can purchase the lunch, which comes with a homemade pulled pork sandwich, baked beans and coleslaw, for $8 per plate. Plates can be purchased and picked up from the community room at the apartment complex, located at 600 Seal St., in Picayune during that time.
Fundraiser organizer Bryan Cassagne said the initial plan was to offer a dine-in option for the lunches, but the current COVID-19 pandemic prevented that option. A delivery option will be offered for the purchase of five or more plates. To arrange delivery of multiple plates, call Bridgeway Apartments at 601-749-4848.
Funds from the sale of the lunches will be used to help residents of Bridgeway Apartments attend regular events that help them get out of their homes and engage in activities such as going to the beach, attending movies, or attending local festivals.
Cassagne said this fundraiser is especially important to help residents continue to do those things because the pandemic has left them short on funding.
“They don’t have the income to do those things normally,” Cassagne said.
