A Pearl River County man was arrested on May 16, for possessing illegal narcotics.
Maj. Marc Ogden with the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department said the arrest occurred as part of a traffic stop conducted on FZ Goss Road due to a vehicle having a switched tag. The vehicle was occupied by 42-year-old Shannon Mitchell and 45-year-old Charles Rohrbacker.
During a search of the vehicle, narcotics investigators found a small amount of methamphetamine and some paraphernalia, Ogden said.
Since Mitchell, of 1800 Adcox Rd., claimed ownership of the methamphetamine, she was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.
During the stop, the investigators learned that Rohrbacker, of 33 Easy St., had an outstanding indictment for possession of methamphetamine from a prior arrest, Ogden said.
Both suspects were booked into the Pearl River County Jail.
