A single vehicle collision resulted in the death of a Carriere man.
Mississippi Highway Patrol Trooper First Class Calvin Robertson said a north bound Cadillac CTS driven by 31-year-old Christopher Chavers left the roadway along Highway 11 Thursday evening at 7:48 for an unknown reason. After leaving the roadway, the vehicle collided with trees and came to rest upside down.
Pearl River County Coroner Derek Turnage said Chavers died as a result of blunt force trauma sustained in the collision.
Robertson said no other vehicles or passengers were involved.
