Investigators with the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department are working a case where a 13-year-old boy was allegedly shot in the head.
Maj. Marc Ogden said he could only release limited details, but did confirm that a 13-year-old boy is currently in critical condition after allegedly being shot in the head.
Ogden said the call came in Monday evening just before 8:30.
Deputies and EMTs were dispatched to 777 Harry Sones Road, where they found the victim suffering from a head wound. The boy was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Ogden said the incident is still under investigation.
