Two events will be held at Crosby Commons that will be free to the public, both offered by Sundown in the City and sponsored by various local businesses.
The first will be Movie Night this Saturday that will include a showing of the Christmas classic, Home Alone. The movie will start at 6 p.m., said Donnie Pascal. During intermission of the movie, the Greater Picayune Area Chamber of Commerce will hold the drawing to determine the winner of the 50/50 raffle.
Then, on Monday, Crosby Commons will play host to Monday Night at the Park. On the big screen, Saints fans can watch their favorite team play the Colts. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. with kickoff set for 7:15. This event will feature some sports trivia, a local sports podcast with local coaches recapping the previous varsity football season and door prizes.
Concessions will be sold at both events by local restaurants and a bakery such as, Katy Cakes, Dixie Que BBQ and Little Caesars Pizza.
All proceeds from the sale of refreshments will go towards the Picayune Maroon Tide Diamond Club, which benefits the school’s baseball team.
Pascal said the last Monday Night at the Park brought hundreds of people to Crosby Commons to watch the Saints play.
