Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Pastor Rev. Donald Parker will be officiating.

Lydia Gail Lane, the daughter of Lillie B. Lane was born August 20, 1961 in Picayune, MS.  She was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. She was the youngest of her siblings.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and always willing and available to help those in need.

At an early age she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was united with the Pleasant Valley M.B.C. under the Leadership of Pastor Rev. E.L. Fox.

Her favorite saying was “God Got This.”   

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Sylvia Lane McGrew and Stephanie Lane; and one son, Willie B. Williams, all of Picayune, MS; three grandchildren, Makayiah Magee, Darian Magee and Kyson Magee of Picayune, MS; six sisters, Dorothy (Robert) Bender of North Carolina, Doris (Jerome) Lewis of Carriere, MS, Betty Jones of Brooklyn, NY, Rose Stewart of Gulfport, MS, Gracie Epting of Bay Springs, MS and Audrey Haralson of Picayune, MS; four brothers, Jerry (the late Eunice) Combest, James (Johnnie Mae) Combest, George (Twinette) Combest and Douglas Carey all of Brooklyn, NY; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.   Interment will be in the New Palestine Cemetery.
