Georgia Haralson

Funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 25, 2019 at noon in St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church for Sister Georgia Haralson, age 92, of Picayune, MS, who died Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at her home in Picayune, MS. 

Dr. Michael Kelly will officiate at the service.  Burial will be in the Picayune Cemetery under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.

A native of Bassfield, MS, she worked at General Box.  She was a member of  The Eastern Star, PRC Voter League, and served on St. Matthew Usher  Board until her health failed. 

Survivors include 7 children, Tommie L. (James) McIver, Rev. Thomas E. (Mary) Haralson, Hattie M. (Rev. Donald) Parker, Georgia  A. Stuart,  Susie M. Wilson, Cheryl D. Cooper, and Michael L. (Demetria) Haralson; 1 daughter-in-law, Barbara J. Haralson; 1 sister, Ella N. Keys of Bassfield, MS; 56 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Tommy J. Haralson Sr.;  parents, Brother and Sister James and Zula  Carter; 1 son, Rev. Tommy J. Haralson Jr.; and 1 daughter, Zula  M. Gilmore. 

Visitation will be Friday, October 25, 2019 from 11 am until  noon in St. Matthew Missionary Church under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
