Funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 1 p.m. in Weems Chapel United Methodist Church for Charles “Bro” Baker, age 72, of Picayune, MS. Bro died May 28, 2019 at University Hospital in Jackson, MS. A native of Picayune, he was a member of Weems Chapel United Methodist Church.
He graduated from George Washington Carver High School in 1966 and attended Utica Jr. College. Bro loved music. He worked at Standard Container and Ryan’s Restaurant.
Survivors include; son, Kenneth Michael Baker and daughter, Kelli Michelle Baker, both of Fairfax County, VA; 2 grandchildren, Kristian Baker of Slidell, LA and Kelsey Robillia of Fairfax County, VA; 2 great-grandchildren, Ayden Herbert and Aaliyah Herbert both of Fairfax County, VA; former wife, Patricia Faciane of Fairfax County, VA; mother, Catherine Baker of Picayune; 3 brothers, Robert Baker and James “Lap” Baker both of Jackson, MS and John Baker Jr. of Milwaukee, WI; 5 sisters, Linda Baker McGary of New Orleans, LA, Oreler Baker of Jackson, MS, Yolanda Baker Cabb of Atlanta, GA, Teheara Baker of Savannah, GA and Sandra Baker Wilson of Brandon, MS. Preceded in death by; father Rev. John Lee Baker Sr; paternal grandparents, James and Pappie Baker; maternal grandparents, Dan and Janie King. Visitation Tuesday, June 4, 2019, from noon until 1 p.m. at Weems Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.
