Steven Kenneth Blanchard, Sr., age 61, of Picayune, MS, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019, Memorial Services will be held at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 27074 St. Matthew Catholic Church, Perkinston, MS 39573 on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 11:00 am. Services will conclude with a gathering in the church hall.

Family visitation will be Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 10:00 am until service time at 11:00 am at St. Matthew Catholic Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

A native of Chalmette, LA, he retired from Dominos Sugar Refinery as a Packaging Technician of 26 years. Steve enjoyed hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. For the last 8 months, he fought a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Steve was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Black Blanchard and Elma Daigle Blanchard.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 32 years, Patricia Cantrell Blanchard; his daughter, April Lynn del Carpio; and his son, Steven Kenneth Blanchard, Jr.; 3 grandchildren, Triston Varnado, Bailey Wellmeier, and Ryan Wellmeier; his beloved granddog, Beaux; his sisters, Diane Cunningham and Mary Ann (Jimmy) Lewark; his brothers, Michael (Denise) Blanchard and Curtis (Jackie) Blanchard; his mother in law, Joyce Cantrell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
