Funeral Services for Pastor Charlie Haynes, age 75, of Poplarville, MS, who passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019, will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at 10:00 am at Roseland Park Baptist Church, Picayune, MS.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 16, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Poplarville City Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Pastor Clarence Tilghman will officiate the service.
A native of Meridian, MS, he and his wife, Pam, were the Founders of Righteous Oaks Recovery Center, Chunky, MS, Jacob’s Well Recovery Center for Women, and Damascus Road Recovery Center for Men, both located in Poplarville, MS. Charlie was the author of four books, related to his life and work in Addiction Recovery. He was the Senior Pastor of Jacob’s Well Ministries, Inc. His work in Addiction Recovery spread worldwide this year. Charlie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles A. Haynes and Virginia L. Hickman Haynes.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Pamela Sue Smith Haynes; his children, Virginia Lee (Michael) Kelly, Tammy (Jim) Tubman, Pastor Susan (Allen) Haynes Johnson, and Pastor Asa (Mandy) Haynes; 12 grandchildren, Ben (Magean) Compton, Cameron Kelly, Cooper Kelly, Abigail Tubman, Jack Tubman, Amy Brogan, Jacob Brogan, Elizabeth Brogan, Caleb Haynes, Rebekah Haynes, Anna Haynes, and Rachel Haynes; 3 great grandchildren, Amari Compton, Kailyn Compton, and Jordyn Compton; and his brother, Jay (Wanda) Haynes.
