The CBD Junction now open in Picayune

The first ever CBD boutique is now open in Picayune.

Owner and operator of The CBD Junction, Kevin Sizemore, did point out that the claims of any medical benefits from the use of CBD products have not been supported by the Federal Drug Administration and results can vary from person to person.

However, Sizemore said he has personally benefitted from the use of the products after he was stabbed in the arm back in 2011. The medication his doctors put him on for the nerve damage he suffered caused him to have to give up his previous career, he said. After trying CBD products, he said he saw a number of benefits.

Back in December of 2018 House Bill 1547, otherwise known as the Farm Bill, gave Sizemore a legal way to open his shop, he said. Since all of his stock is made from hemp, and not marijuana, there is no THC in them, and as such there is no intoxicating effect.

The products he carries in his store range from tinctures (oils), edibles, coffees and teas, topical lotions, bath bombs and even products for pets.

Sizemore said that the products he carries could potentially help people dealing with stress, anxiety, pain, cancer and other ailments. However, he reminds his customers that the FDA does not back up those claims and he advises his customers not to use CBD products in an attempt to diagnose or cure a disease or ailment. For that, the best course is to seek medical advice from a doctor.

Sizemore said he is proud to open the first CBD boutique in Picayune.

“It has been a dream to have my own store in this community and to provide health and wellbeing,” Sizemore said.

He said a prescription is not required to buy his products
