He grew up in his grandpaw’s footsteps, and loved being around the farm and dairy, cows, horses, and other farm animals. Tanner had an uphill battle from the start. He was born with hypo-plastic left heart syndrome, and a double-outlet right ventricle.

His first major surgery occurred at just 5 days old, and he had 4 more over the years. Tanner was a very friendly and outgoing young man, with a huge loving heart, though his was only half the size it should have been. He enjoyed helping others in and around the community. Tanner was a born-again Christian, and member at Steep Hollow Baptist Church. He will be fondly remembered, and sadly missed by all whose life he touched.

He was preceded by his grandparents: Barbara Parker, Verna Harrell, Myrtle Howell, and Myra Besancon; and one uncle, Danny Besancon, Jr.

Left to cherish his memories are: his loving parents, Frank & Barbara Howell, Jr.; his only brother, Cameron Howell; grandparents: Frank Howell, Sr. and Danny Besancon, Sr.; his aunt, Mary Howell, and an uncle, Rusty (Anita) Besancon; his cousins, Zachary Howell, Ashley (Matthew) Prewitt, Monique (Brad) Penton, Jacob Besancon, and Jessie Besancon, along with numerous additional extended family, friends and neighbors.

The family will receive friends for visitation at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 23rd at Steep Hollow Baptist Church.

The funeral service is set for 2:00 PM, with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
