Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Emmanuel Baptist Church. Pastor Alex Wesco, Jr. will officiate. Interment will be private in Picayune Cemetery at a later date.

Maggie Mae, the daughter of the late Johnny and Mary Ratcliff, was born in Tylertown MS on June 22, 1942. God called her home on January 23, 2019, at the age of 76. God blessed his child with her wings to fly high to meet her Heavenly Father.

Maggie gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of the Oakland Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Charles Hurst, Sr.

In 1954 Maggie moved to Picayune, MS, where she met and married Oliver Wilson Sr. Maggie moved to Kenner, LA in 1986. She was employed at Roadway Inn Hotel for 20 Years.   Maggie was blessed with a special devoted niece, Barbara Parkman, that she took in like a daughter. Barbara stood faithfully by her side until her earthly journey was finalized.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Mary Ratcliff; husband, Oliver Wilson Sr.; grandparents, Bossie and Cealy Quinn; two sisters, Otera (Eddie) McCray and Louise Palm; one brother, Rev. Festers (Lillie Mae); two stepsons, Oliver Wilson Jr, TJ (Rose Mary) Wilson; two nephews, Johnny L Ratcliff and Jimmie Coleman.

Maggie leaves to cherish her memories, one sister, Meril Colman; one brother, Clarence “Sonny” Yvonne Ratcliff; two stepsons, Rayburn (Mag), Jerry (Deanna) Wilson; one stepdaughter, Martina (Roger) Simmons; one goddaughter, Kyisha Ratcliff and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
