Claire O’Connell Conlin

Memorial Services for Claire O’Connell Conlin, age 82, of Perkinston, MS, who passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019, will be held at a later date.

Claire was born September 16, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Stephen A O’Connell and Mildred Johansen.  She was married 54 years to Robert James Conlin who preceded her in death.

She lived in New Orleans for many years before retiring to Mississippi following the death of her husband in 2011.   She generously volunteered her time with organizations reflecting her passions – gardening, history, and community – and included the Crosby Arboretum, Friends of the Cabildo, and the Coliseum Square Association.  Miss Claire was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Claire is survived by her daughter Sheila Sosa and husband, Glenn of Sarasota, FL, her son Tim Conlin of New Orleans, LA, grandson’s Andrew and Alexander Sosa, several nieces and a nephew.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mrs. Gloria Ormerod and beloved twin sister Dr. Noreen Ash Johnson.
