Graveside Funeral Services for Sidney Perry Meitzler, age 78, of Nicholson, MS, who passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018, will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at 3:00 pm at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Nicholson, MS.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December  5, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm at McDonald Funeral Home, Picayune, MS.

Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Carl Heberg will officiate the service.

A native of Picayune, MS, Sidney retired after 21 years in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a retired Purchasing Agent. Sidney was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Conrad Meitzler and Susie Louvenia Bennett Meitzler; his sisters, Dorothy Mitchell, Iris Stoltz, Minnie Lou Meitzler, and Elise Henderson; and his brother, John Meitzler.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Lynn (Steve) Applegate; 4 granddaughters, Natasha (Victor) Rohr, Sydney Applegate, Malaina Applegate, and Ellianna Applegate; his great grandson, Liam Rohr; and numerous nieces and nephews.
