Funeral Services for Grover Childs Jr, age 92, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Friday, December 7, 2018, will be held Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at 11:00 am at Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Reggie Bridges, Bro. Tim Mims, and Bro. Cody Warren will officiate the service.

Born in Ripley, MS, Grover moved to Pearl River County in the 1950’s. He worked in the saw mill industry, was a cattle farmer, and grew a garden which he enjoyed sharing with his neighbors. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover Childs Sr and Lula Mauney Childs; son, Danny Joe Childs; 4 brothers and 5 sisters.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of over 70 wonderful years, Lorrain Rinehart Childs; son, Grover Wayne Childs and wife Carol; daughter, Barbara Jean McDaniel and husband Donald; daughter in law, Cindy Roche; grandchildren, Randall, Stephanie (Joel), Jason (Melissa), Michael (Andrea), Krystle (Matt), and John David (Carley); 14 great grandchildren; 2 brothers and 3 sisters; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones.
