Investigators arrived at the home and spoke to the owner, 46-year-old Shane Shellhorse. A pat down for officer safety was conducted, during which the investigators found a pill bottle in his possession containing a large amount of methamphetamine, Allison said.

During a subsequent search of the home, investigators found a digital scale, plastic bags and a bowie knife, which was a violation due to Shellhorse’s status as a convicted felon, Allison said.

A female was found in the home during the search, identified as 28-year-old Crystal Hickman, of that same address. In an area of the home controlled by Hickman, investigators found marijuana and Adderall pills, Allison said.

Shellhorse was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, Hickman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, Allison said.

The stolen iPad was not found in the home.
