This Saturday, Crosby Commons will again be the venue for Run With the Pigs Outdoor BBQ & Music Festival in Picayune.

Several activities and competitions are planned for the event sponsored by the Greater Picayune Area Chamber of Commerce.

If you’re an active person, sign up for the 5K race or Crossfit competition. Or, if you’re feeling especially competitive, register for both.

Truck enthusiasts will be interested in registering their ride in the 4×4 show. It takes a lot of dedication to maintain a truck and install the many modifications required to create the ultimate off-road vehicle.

Foodies can join in the fun, sampling some great barbecue being prepared by some of the best teams in the area.

For the music lover, live entertainment will be on tap. Two local music acts will take the stage beginning at 10 a.m. and provide entertainment well into the afternoon.

This next event was a late addition to Saturday’s fare, but will benefit a young man battling a form of cancer.

Blue Knights MS IX will hold a motorcycle ride to help Donovan Trudell. Registration for the ride starts at 8 a.m.

The ride will also give Jeep enthusiasts an opportunity to participate and show off their vehicles.

Run With the Pigs has been growing annually. Now that several improvements have taken place at Crosby Commons it’s become a more user friendly location for this event, which will add to that growth. Rembember to bring a lawn chair.
