According to those reports, the complaint was filed by the victim on Jan. 13. The stated staff of a local restaurant were catering the recent Mardi Gras Ball on Jan. 9.

Once the event was over, the staff was told they could relax and enjoy themselves for a little while.

The victim alleged that later in the evening Schibeci asked her to speak with him outside near his vehicle. While near the vehicle Schibeci allegedly made advances on the victim, eventually pushing her into the vehicle where the alleged rape occurred, according to the report.

At some point during the assault the victim said she was able to escape from under Schibeci and then left the premises, upset, and went home, the report states.

She then filed the report with the Picayune Police Department on Jan. 13.

Clothing worn during the alleged assault was turned over to the investigators, and bruising on the victim’s body was noted as part of the investigation.

Assistant Police Chief Jeremy Magri said Schibeci has since bonded out.
