Cold case information requested

The Picayune Police Department is still requesting information on a shooting case that has gone cold.
The case involves the shooting of a man near his home in mid October, according to previous coverage.
Picayune Police Department Assistant Chief Jeremy Magri said that Crime Stoppers is still offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest of a suspect or suspects.
According to the previous Item story, a woman called the police department on Oct. 15 to report that she found her husband on the ground near their home suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
When he spoke with police officers, the victim told them that he was shot outside his Kingsway Drive home after exiting his vehicle at about 11:30 p.m.While exiting his vehicle an unknown black male approached him and demanded his cash.
When the victim told him he had no money, the suspect shot him and fled on foot, the previous story states.
The victim received treatment for his wounds and has since recovered. Some evidence was collected at the scene, but officers are requesting help from the community to identify the suspect.
