Funeral Services for Josie Watts Rollins, 71, of Carriere, Miss., who passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013, will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013, at 12:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Brian Tatum will officiate the service, assisted by Bro. Orean Spence.

A native of Ponchatoula, La., she was a retired First Grade Teacher from St. Tammany Parish, with 33 years experience. Josie was a member of the Baptist faith and was attending Union Baptist Church. She was very involved with Tennis in the Slidell area, Past President of STA, Treasurer of Northlake Tennis, and league coordinator. Josie was very close to her four grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them. They affectionately referred to her as NeNe.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence James “L.J.” Watts and Mildred Woodard Watts, and her sister, Elizabeth Watts Newsom.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, James Russell “Jim” Rollins Jr.; her children, Jena Bratton and husband Marc, and Jeffrey Rollins and wife Michele, all of Slidell, LA; 4 grandchildren, Matthew and Emily Bratton, and Bailey and Brady Rollins; her brother, Larry Watts and wife Janet of Baton Rouge, LA; her nieces and nephew, Laurie Brown, Kim Newsom, Erin Swenson, and Brad Watts
