William B. Smith

Funeral Services for William B. “Billy” Smith, Jr., 72 of Picayune, Miss., who passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013, were held Thursday, December 5, 2013, at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Billy was laid to rest in the McNeill Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bishop Jimmy Clark officiated the service.

Billy was an Electrician and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. His hobbies included reading, genealogy research, cooking, and spoiling his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Barney (Bill) Smith Sr. and Mary Allyne Foxell Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn “Gay” Whitfield Smith; his six daughters, Rhonda Paxton and husband Mike, Tanya Tomei and husband Jon, Allison Goodman and husband David, Kimberly Caswell and husband Royce, Crystal Kennedy and husband Ben, and Tina Brito and husband David; 23 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and his sister, JoAnn Messa and husband Leo.
