Butler Snow moving to Broadway

Jackson based law firm Butler Snow, who represents the Pearl River County Board of Supervisors, has expanded to New York City.

The law firm, which began in Mississippi, also has offices in Tennessee, Louisiana, Georgia, Colorado, Pennsylvania and London in the United Kingdom.

David M. Cohen and Stanford G. Ladner have joined the firm in their New York office located at 1700 Broadway.

Cohen is a member of the firm’s Product Liability, Mass Tort and Environmental Group and Ladner a member of the Public Finance, Tax Incentives and Credit Markets Group.

“Stan brings vast knowledge to our firm, and he is a great addition to our ever expanding Public Finance, Tax Incentive and Credit Markets Group,” said Donald Clark, Jr., Chairman, Butler Snow. We look forward to utilizing the diverse experience both of these talented attorneys bring to our team.”

Sherry Vance, chief marketing and communications officer for Butler Snow, said the continued expansion of the company “helps us tremendously” provide services for all its clients across the nation and world.

Vance said the lawyers that have joined the firm have experience in a many areas and have helped the firm become a national practice.

In a press release, Butler Snow said Ladner has spent his career advising banks, investment firms, municipalities and private industries on how to navigate the public financing sector.

The firm has a well-established Public Finance, Tax Incentives and Credit Markets Group that offers a comprehensive and diverse public finance practice ranging from all forms of state and municipal bonds and obligations to the full complement of techniques available to finance governmental, health care, industrial/economic development, public-private partnerships, exempt facilities, utilities, public and private educational institutions, housing and other developments.
