Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Church of Christ, 2005 Cooper Road, Picayune, MS for Jerline Magee-Woods, 82.  Pastor Adrian Sillers will officiate at the service.
Jerline Magee-Woods was born October 19, 1933 to the late Booker T. And Mercy Dee Magee in Walthall County.  She
was one of nine siblings in her combined family.  When she was young, the family relocated to Picayune, MS.  She attended Picayune Colored Schools. Jerline worked as a young mother as a short order cook for a short time.  She then returned to her home to raise and nurture her children as a homemaker. During her time in Picayune she confessed her faith in Christ and was a member of Weems Chapel U.M.C., Open Bible Holiness, and then Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
Jerline relocated to Oakland, California where she married Leon Woods. They resided in California for about thirty years.  After that she returned home to Picayune, Miss. for a short while.  She later relocated to Temple, Texas, where she remained for five years until her departure.  Her hobbies included cooking, spending time with family, and walking/exercising.
She ended her earthly existence on Sunday, November 1, 2015 in Temple, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sons, Oliver Wilson, Jr. And James T. Wilson; three brothers, Melvin Otis, Elvin Otis, and Freddy Otis; and two sisters, Beverly Otis-Davis and Niecy Otis.
She leaves to cherish her memory:  one daughter, Martina (Roger) Simmons, of Picayune, MS; two sons, Jerry (Deanna) Wilson, of Temple, Texas and Rayburn (Mae) Wilson, of Henleyfield, Miss.; two sisters, Everlee Magee-Daughton and Cecilia Magee-Brazelton, both of Detroit, MI; one brother, David Lee Otis, of Dallas, TX; 15 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in Henleyfield Cemetery. Entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home (601)798-4469
