Barbara Williamson Smith, 70, of Poplarville (Ford’s Creek), Miss., passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Smith was born October 8, 1943 to James and Augusta Carroll Williamson. She was a retired administrative secretary with Pearl River Community College and a faithful member of Ford’s Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, and one sister, Janie Lavigne.

Survivors include: her husband of forty nine years, Jimmy Smith of Poplarville; one son, Rafe (Liz) Smith of Poplarville; one daughter, Renee’ (Scott) Morgan of Brandon, Miss.; four sisters, Joy Patch of Carriere, Miss., Linda (Ketty) Spiers of Petal, Miss., Brenda (Pete) Johnson of Carriere, Vickie (Rickey) Graham of Poplarville; four grandchildren: Heather Smith, Abby Smith, Karly Morgan, Sarah Morgan; mother-in-law, Lenora Smith of Poplarville; brother-in-law, Tommy of Poplarville; 17 nieces and nephews; and 28 great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 am, Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Ford’s Creek Baptist Church with interment following in Ford’s Creek Cemetery. Visitation will from 6-9 p.m., Tuesday at White Funeral Home in Poplarville.
