Former Poplarville resident – Patricia O. “Pat” Brandon, 62, passed away Monday afternoon, September 20, 2010, in Muncie, Ind.

She was born February 13, 1948 in Greenwood, the daughter of C.K. and Mary W. (McMinn) Makamson and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from McKendree College in Lebanon, Ill.

Mrs. Brandon was a pastor’s wife, faithful Christian, and a former member of West Poplarville Baptist Church. Pat was also a registered nurse for several years.

Surviving are her husband of forty years, the Rev. Robert L. Brandon of Yorktown, Ind.; three children, Donna Herndon (husband, Dennis) of Poplarville, Sam Brandon (wife, Jamie) of Carlinville, Ill., and Danielle Brandon of Sturgis; twin granddaughters, Hannah and Breanna Herndon; and a sister, Charlotte Makamson of Starkville.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; a brother, Kenny Makamson; and an infant daughter, Connie Brandon.

Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2010, in Sturgis First Baptist Church in Sturgis.
