The drowning death of a 2-year-old toddler in Jackson County has been ruled accidental.

Sheriff Mike Byrd says Jorge Flores, his wife and their six children were at their Saint Martin community home Friday night when they realized the 2-year-old had wandered off.

They later found the toddler, Edwin Flores, face down in the swimming pool behind their home. Jackson County Coroner Vicki Broadus has ruled the death as an accidental drowning.
