Grand Soleil lets gaming license expire

Developers of a proposed second casino in Natchez have let their gaming license expire amid problems with finding financial backing.

Kent Hudson, the attorney for Grand Soleil, says hotel and casino officials are still looking for financial backers.

Hudson says without a complete financial plan, there is no point in pursuing renewal of a gaming license for a casino that’s not even in existence.

The Isle of Capri is the only casino in Natchez.
