A search continues in the Gulf of Mexico for an Ocean Springs police officer missing since Sunday when the boat he and four others were in capsized.

Ocean Springs police Lt. Steve Futral identified the missing man as Officer Stephen Bond.

Futral says four others — Officer Michael Green and his girlfriend, Becky Welch, and reserve officer Jonathan Navas and his wife, Whitney — were found Monday in the water northwest of Ship Island. All were wearing life vests. They were flown to Gulfport Memorial Hospital and were in good condition Tuesday.

The five had left for Horn Island on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. The five were supposed to return home that night around 6 p.m. Navas’ parents alerted authorities when the group did not return as scheduled.
