Picayune Police officers are looking for a suspect believed to be involved in one of many armed robberies this year.

The incident took place last Thursday, at about 9:22 p.m. at the New China Buffet at 210 W. Canal St., according to reports. The suspect is described as a black man, about six feet tall, between 20 and 30 years of age and about 210 pounds, wearing a black shirt, blue bandanna and a black cap and blue jean shorts. He allegedly came in to the New China Buffet to pick up a take out order.

The suspect asked the employee behind the counter how much the order was and then reached into his front pocket to retrieve a silver-colored pistol, which he pointed at the clerk behind the counter, the report states. While the register was open, the suspect reached behind the counter and took an undisclosed amount of money from the register before running out of the store. He was last seen running in the direction of Goodyear Boulevard, the report states.
