Graveside Funeral Services for Constance (Connie) Elizabeth Martin, age 97, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020, were held Monday, May 4, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Union Baptist Cemetery.

Burial was in Union Baptist Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Bro. Brian Tatum officiated the service.

A native of Hancock County, MS, she served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a code breaker, a secretary at NASA, and a member of Union Baptist Church. She enjoyed serving her Lord and Savior Jesus by visiting homebound people and greeting people entering church. Connie was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George A. Spiers and Blanche Chisholm Spiers; her husband, Alfred “Buck” Martin; her son Joseph Spiers; her brothers, Albert Spiers and Chisholm Spiers; and her sister Carol Persinger.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, William (Bill) Humphries, Ronnie (Joyce) Martin, Betty Fortner, Beverly Guerra, Mary (Clovis) Crocker, Paul (Jana) Martin; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
