On the evening of April 29, Picayune police officers responded to reports of gunfire on the east side of town. Although nearly 20 rounds were discharged at two individuals near a vehicle on Third Street, no injuries were reported. However, both a car and a nearby residence sustained damage from the gunfire.

Collaborating with local agencies, including the Slidell Police Department, Picayune Police located the suspect vehicle. A traffic stop led to Jamarcus Adams’s apprehension on April 30. Subsequent evidence recovered from his car linked him to the shooting.

Additional suspects, Cedric Tyner and Lawrence Joseph Jr. were arrested at a residence on Baylous Street. Detectives from the Special Operations Division secured a search warrant for the property, uncovering 25 pressed fentanyl pills, crushed fentanyl pills, and distribution paraphernalia.
