Pearl River County Economic Development Director Discusses Growth Strategy at Pearl River Community College Event

Pearl River Community College recently hosted a Lunch and Learn event featuring Lindsay Ward, the Pearl River County Economic Development Director. Ward discussed the county’s economic development strategy, which is based on a plan completed in 2021 and serves as a roadmap for future growth.

The strategy focuses on five key priorities:

  1. Site Development.
  2. Target Industry Development.
  3. Marketing and Image Enhancement.
  4. Business Retention and Expansion.
  5. Regional Collaboration.

Ward highlighted several ongoing projects in the county, including developments at the Industrial Park, Technology Park, PRC Multipurpose Center, Convention Center, Emergency Operations Center, Exit 10 Sewer Extension, and Millard Jail Wastewater Project. These projects represent a total investment of $19,185,500.00 in the county’s infrastructure.
