The Sigma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma acknowledges Lauren Cumberland’s educational contributions by awarding her the Red Rose Award. The award, presented annually, recognizes community members who significantly contribute to the advancement of teaching.

Lauren Cumberland, a former public school teacher, earned this honor for her leadership in the Bac-Pac ministry at First United Methodist Church of Picayune. This ministry is dedicated to providing weekend meals to 316 underprivileged children in Picayune and Pearl River Central Elementary schools, amounting to 47,800 meals in the past year.
