Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Rose of Sharon Church of God in Christ. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Pastor Elder David Simmons will officiate at the services.

Mary Charlene Williams was born February 23, 1944, to the late Leffie and Emma Jean Martin. She was baptized at Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. Woullard. A faithful member of Rose of Sharon Church of God in Christ where she served as President of the Usher Board until her health declined.

Mary Charlene Williams, age 79, gained her wings on Saturday, December 16, 2023, embraced by her loving and devoted family at her residence.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband of 57 years, David Williams; her daughter, Delinda Martin-Smith (Dennis); her son, Danny Martin; her sisters, Elizabeth Bridges and Ruby Nell Whitehead; her brother, Michael Durant; Goddaughter, Sheila Morris (Kevin); 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Interment will be in the New Palestine Cemetery. Entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home.”
