PICAYUNE, MS — Danon Cody Duane Froman, a resident of the Deer Park Community, is currently in custody after officials allege his involvement in an armed robbery at A One Stop in Picayune, where he purportedly held a clerk at gunpoint.

The incident occurred on December 21, prompting a rapid response from authorities. Following the initial report, investigators secured the scene and identified a suspect vehicle and description. The robbery bore similarities to a recent burglary at the same A One Stop just days prior, involving the theft of comparable items.

Investigators had previously identified a potential suspect in the earlier burglary, matching the description of the recent incident — Danon Cody Duane Froman.

A search warrant was obtained for Froman’s residence, leading to the discovery of the described vehicle at the back of his property. The subsequent search uncovered items stolen during both the recent robbery and the previous burglary. Additionally, a sawed-off shotgun, allegedly used during the incidents, was seized.

Froman was taken into custody without incident. Further investigations revealed an additional detail — Froman allegedly forced a juvenile into the trunk of his vehicle at gunpoint before the most recent robbery.

Facing charges of armed robbery, kidnapping, and commercial burglary, Froman is currently held at the Hancock County Adult Detention Center pending his initial appearance.
