Rose of Sharon organizes father-daughter event

The public is invited to attend a Father-Daughter Evening at the Park Banquet on Saturday, Aug. 8. The dance is being organized by the Rose of Sharon Family Resource Center in Picayune.
The event is taking place at 6 p.m. at Jack Reed Park located on Goodyear Boulevard in Picayune. The attire will be dressy casual.
Kathleen Brumfield, director at the Rose of Sharon Family Resource Center, said this is the first time the event is being held.
“We want it to be an annual event,” Brumfield said.
Brumfield said the organization is expecting between 50 and 100 people at the event, and face masks will be required for attendees.
Brumfield said tables at the event will be spaced in accordance with social distancing guidelines and tables will be limited to four people per table.
