Graveside Funeral Services for Mary Lou Banta, age 80, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Friday, June 26, 2020, were held Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at 11:00 am at Henleyfield Cemetery.

Burial was held in Henleyfield Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Rev. Allen Hickman officiated the service.

A native of Picayune, MS, she was a retired Civil Service Worker at Keesler and a member of First Baptist Church of Picayune. Mary Lou was a loving step mother,sister, aunt, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther W. “L.W.” Stegall, Sr. and Ouida Mae Mitchell Stegall; her husband, Paul D. Banta; and her brothers and sisters, Guy V Stegall, Helen Archer, Luther W. “Jr” Stegall, Eloise Day, Albert Gene Stegall, and Dixie Lee Stegall.

Left to cherish her memory are her step children, David L. Banta, Curtis P. Banta, and Cynthia Banta; her brothers, Bill (Ann) Stegall, and Mickey (Lois) Stegall; step grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
