Pearl River County resident guilty of not registering as sex offender

A Pearl River County man pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender on Thursday in front of U.S. District Judge Sul Ozerden, according to a press release from the Justice Department.
Nathanael Cecil Hall III, now 38, failed to renew his sex offender registration in the state of Florida, failed to notify officials that he left the state when he relocated to Pearl River County and failed to register as a sex offender in Mississippi, according to the release.
He will be sentenced on September 24, 2020 in Gulfport. Hall faces a maximum of 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and five years to life of supervised release.
In 2006 Hall was convicted of possessing photographs, film or other representation that knowingly includes sexual conduct of a child while residing in Hillsborough County, Florida. Hall was required to register as a sex offender and to notify Florida officials if he moved out of the state.
In March, Hall failed to appear for his scheduled sex offender registration in Florida. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office issued an extradition arrest warrant for failure to renew his sex offender registration.
The U.S. Marshals Service was notified that Hall appeared to have left Florida. In April, U.S. Marshals discovered that Hall had been in Picayune in January and February. The USMS Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Hall in Picayune on May 8.
Hall was transported to the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office where he was booked for failing to register as a sex offender in Mississippi.
He was held in the county jail, and then released to the U.S. Marshals Service after a federal criminal complaint and arrest warrant were issued.
The investigation was conduced by the U.S. Marshals Service, the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department, the release states.
Hall has also been known as Nathanael Cecil Paul Hall, III, Nathanael Hall and “Satanica,” the release states.
