Shots fired at Picayune home, investigation underway

On June 16 at 11:43 p.m. officers with the Picayune Police Department were dispatched in response to a shooting into an occupied dwelling according to a press release from Assistant Chief of Police Dustin Moeller. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident according to the release.
The incident took place in the area of 803 South Beech St., according to the release.
The release states that upon arrival, officers found multiple shell casings in the road in front of the residence.
Investigation into the incident determined there were multiple residents inside the home at the time of the shooting.
The home and vehicles parked in the driveway sustained heavy damage, according to the release.
The incident is currently under investigation. No other information was provided in the release.
