Walk though viewing will be held Sat. May 9, 2020, at 1 p.m. at Baylous Funeral Home for Charles “Stew” Stewart, age 62, of Picayune, MS, who died Sat. May 1, 2020 in Hattiesburg, MS. A native of Picayune, MS, he graduated from Picayune Memorial High School. He played high school basketball. He loved to shoot 3 point. He coached girls softball and loved cooking outside for everybody. He worked at L.A. Dock Shipyard in New Orleans, LA and worked 30 years in steel building.

Charles was a member of Weems Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include wife Cynthia Dianne Jones Stewart of Picayune, MS; 3 sons, Braxton Charles Otems, and Christopher Stewart both of Galveston, TX, and Jerrell Stewart of Ca.; 1 sister, Loretta (ED) Nixon of Picayune, MS; 2 brothers, Roderick (Charlotte) Stewart of Hattiesburg, MS, and Cedrick Stewart of Picayune, MS; 3 grandchildren; 2 aunts, Gladly (Earl) Dees and Mary Simmons, both of Picayune, MS.

He is preceded in death by parents Wilbert Sr. and Elizabeth Stewart; 2 brothers, Bernard and Wilbert Stewart Jr.

Graveside service will be held Sat., May 9, 2020, at 2:30 p.m. Baylous Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement.
