It is with great sadness that the family of Chantel Lynn Effler Stasik Miller announce her May 2, 2020 death.
Chan was born on October 4, 1963 to Johnny and Velva Effler in Louisiana. Her family then moved to Picayune, Mississippi. Her first marriage was to Steve Stasik followed by her marriage to Jeffery Miller until his death. She was a graduate of Picayune Memorial High School and the University of Southern Mississippi.
At an early age, Chan professed Jesus Christ as her personal Savior.
She was of the Baptist faith. She was kind, gentle, intelligent, and creative in the area of arts and crafts.
Left to share and cherish Chan’s memory are her only child Stephen Justin Stasik; her granddaughter, Skylar Stasik; her parents Johnny and Velva Effler, her brother Jeffery (Tori) Effler, nephew, Chance Effler; niece, Breanna (Chris) Jochum; aunts, Hillery June (Virgil) Allen and Carleen (David) Rouse.
Chan is preceded in death by her grandparents Hillery and Alice Bickford and Johnny Effler, Sr. and Loney Loupe Effler.
Dr. Josh Braddy will officiate the burial service.
McDonald Funeral Home was in charge of the private funeral arrangement and burial in New Palestine Cemetery held on May 5, 2020.
