Carrie “Geneva” Palmer Lossett of Carriere, Mississippi passed away on Friday, April 10, 2020 at the age of 92.
Graveside Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at Sycamore Cemetery with Bro. Leslie Hood officiating. Services were under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Geneva was a lifelong resident of the Sycamore Community, a homemaker and a humble servant who was loyal and faithful to her God, Jehovah. She dedicated her life through baptism and was a devoted member of the Picayune Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Dona E. Smith, Carolyn Lossett and Cynthia Lossett ; her grandchildren, Regina (Mike) Howard, Dewayne Smith, Thana (David) McSwain, and Anthony (Tiffany) Oliver; her great-grandchildren, Brittany Jordan, Kenny Jordan, Mason Smith, Trey McSwain, Kaylie Bounds, Peyton Oliver and Carter Oliver; her brother, Ray (Mary) Palmer; her sister-in-law, Margie Lossett Nasser; and numerous nieces and nephews who all loved, and will truly miss, “Aunt Bo.”
She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Alphonse “Sonny Boy” Lossett, Jr.; her parents, Oscar T. Palmer, Sr. and Zoena Cochran Palmer; her sisters, Maxine Palmer and Sharon Palmer; her brothers, Cecil Palmer, Louis Palmer, Jimmy Palmer and Oscar T. “Junebug” Palmer, Jr.; and her grandson, Everette M. Stockstill.
