Services for Tammy Veronica Jones,   51,  of  Picayune, MS, will be held Friday  March 6 , 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at New Galilee Baptist Church. Rev. Edward Stubbs  is pastor. Reverend Otis Jones is officiating.

Tammy Veronica Jones was born December 5, 1968 to the late Margaret Ann Jones and Marshall Gene Cox. At an early age, Tammy accepted Christ as her personal Savior. Tammy received her formal education at Hattiesburg High School in Hattiesburg, MS.   When Tammy was a young adult, she relocated to Picayune, MS where she joined Anointed Dove Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Tony Pressley. Later she attended nursing aide classes. Tammy was a very jolly person who enjoyed life. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

On February 22, 2020 at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington, LA, Tammy made her exit from this earth and entered into her eternal home in Glory.   

She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Ann Jones and Marshall Gene Cox; J.C. and Eliza Jones; two sisters, Taneshia Moye and Marlonda Smith; one brother, Kevin Jones.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, three daughters, Siakia Jones, of Baton Rouge, LA, Cherrelle Jones, and Kierra Hathorn, both of Gulfport, MS; three sons, Marshall Jones, Willie Jones, and Maurice Jones, all of Picayune, MS; five grandchildren, Ja’Niyah, Brennan, Kacia, Bella-Rose, and Skyler; four sisters, Ananda Cox, of Atlanta, GA, Lutore Jones, Stella Cox, and Santana Cox, all of Hattiesburg,  four brothers, Marcus (Glenesha) Moye, of TN, Sedrick (Tanesha) Cox, of Hattiesburg, Clarence (Sharon) Moye, of Jackson, MS, and Marshall Cox, Jr., of Hattiesburg, MS; and a host of  aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and of course, many friends.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – noon. Interment will be in New Palestine Cemetery.
