Picayune students offered ‘Grab and Go’ meals during closure

Students of the Picayune School District will continue to have access to meals in spite of the recent closures due to COVID-19.
According to a statement from the Picayune School District, “Grab and Go” meals will be provided at the entrances to the following campuses; Roseland Park’s Gilcrease Avenue entrance; Nicholson Elementary’s Highway 11 entrance; Picayune Junior High’s Fifth Avenue entrance and South Side Elementary’s Rosa Street entrance.
Those meals will be available Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and each student will receive two bags, which include a breakfast and lunch.
The meals can not be eaten at the distribution site.
